Established in 1973, the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, popularly known as Patna Zoo, is Bihar's premier zoological park. Spanning over 150 acres near Bailey Road, it serves as a green sanctuary and lung space for the capital city.
1. The Wildlife Sanctuary
The zoo houses over 800 animals, including the Royal Bengal tiger, leopards, Asiatic lions, hippos, and a highly successful breeding program for the one-horned rhinoceros. It also features a botanical garden and orchid house.
